I met Cherry over 5 years ago when we both worked at Joann Fabric and Craft. At the time she was fighting her own addictions with drugs, alcohol, cigarettes, and an abusive relationship. She was a crazy, fun lady to be around and knew a lot about sewing. She moved to Seattle where she overcame her addictions through hard work. I've watched her journey from addict to fashion desgner with shows in Paris and her own studio in Seattle. She owns who she was and where she came from and how it has made her a better person now. Her dedication to herself and her passion makes me want to push myself more and become more than I am.
