Tapenade Origins
Back in 1989 My mom was not trying to start a sandwich shop. She really wanted to make a unique shop where she could sell her home made broths and soup bases to people. She always got a lot of comments on how good her soups were at gatherings and events and she would always credit starting with a good broth, stock or base. 20 years later our little shop here in the heart of Westchester is still selling delightful broths and stocks made home made by my mom, and now me but also homemade soups, fresh salads (we actually remove the ribs from the lettuce!) and tasty sandwiches. Mom never added weird preservatives and always used fresh veggies from our local Westchester Farmer’s Market, quality meats and kosher salt and other organic spices to make the very best in tasty, home made feel good meals. If you’re a hungry local or a someone who works in town on your lunch break, stop on by our shop. Soups on!
