Site is clean and simple but doesn’t hold the same feel as being in the restaurant
The two menus is confusing, especially since one of them is a hamburger menu (on a desktop view)
Top nav is sticky
It is very easy to find how to view their menu
Site appears to have been built for phone use first and just made to expand for desktop (there is a Call Now option in the nav)
Updates look more like an Instagram feed rather than a blog
Gallery feels redundant after looking at the Updates
Testimonials is a good section
View Menu option opens a new tab leading to a new page with their menu. This secondary site show a different URL for the main Pantry website (pantrycafe.com) which is an active site but with very little on it.
No mention of them being a cash only establishment
Design is clean. Pictures are bright and attractive. Gives a local flare by adding in black and white pictures of the Beverly Hills area. The overall design gives a good feel for what to expect going into the restaurant
Content is familiar and friendly while also conveying information. It is also short and to the point, no long walls of text
There are two spots above the fold that could be a Call to Action, one is a red button in the Nav that states Order Online, the other is on the first photo for making reservations
Nav is not sticky and a little too long (it has to fall onto a second line at the end)
There are three little dots on the side that are a bit confusing but act as another kind of nav for the home page, jumping you from section to section
There is an Instagram feed but you’d never know it as it sits in Events and isn’t labeled as Instagram, there’s just pictures under some text
Homepage is way too busy and makes it hard to find what you’re looking for.
Nav bar is in white and small and due to all the clutter on the page, is one of the last things seen
Menu is just the instore menu and ends up coming up with small font of desktop
Site is non responsive
Colors and picture choice fit well with the feel of the actual restaurant
History page is very plain but a good add for a restaurant that has been around for a while
Gallery page is attractive and has links to their social media feeds
Overall, site is too busy and confusing
