Project 1 Research
Client: Brix Pizza
- Currently do not have a website, but they do have a Facebook page & are highly recognized on yelp. However, you can’t find their menu items, or be able to order online. Only able to call or walk in to place order.
- Correction, menu items are found but they are only pictures of the menu that aren’t pleasant.
- No promotion items found anywhere
- Do have a contact page
- About page is very minimal on information about the company.
Goals & Target Audience
- First, create a user-friendly website.
- Have more descriptions about menu items & pictures (or no pictures) to go with it.
- About page with more info, contact, locations, business hours etc.
- A color palette that will help the company be more recognizable
- Have the ability to place an order online
- Popular items/current promos on the homepage to attract customers
- Having a sense of hierarchy & the use of color/responsiveness to attract the user to navigate the page.
- Tabs that can be useful: Home, Menu, Coupons/Specials/Promos, Locations (with gps map), About, Careers, & Connect with u.
Competitors
Jino's pizza
- Great page layout
- Very little responsive techniques, but that’s okay
- homepage contains promo, store location/hours,prices, delivery times, and order minimum which is SUPER convenient
- About page only talks about there location & what they have to offer. Could use a bit more description/info
- Menu/online orders are taken care through 3rd party site
Tumby's Pizza
- Website can use A LOT of work. Super plain & boring
- Store motto is a good touch on homepage
- New items listed to attract customers
- Menu page is much better & more presentable
- No picture used for items except for desserts/drinks: why?
- Specials tab is great for deals
- Locations tab is perfect! Great feature to have to see what locations are close to you
- About page is very detailed about who they are & what they are about, but the layout/format is terrible. They seam to have reused there pictures, & I feel like they are unnecessary to have
- Would have been nice to have a contact page. The only way to find there phone is by going to locations, & seeking the store number by its location.
Little Caesar's
- Very modern & current compared to the first two
- Theme/company color is used
- Promos on homepage are great for those looking to save money
- Interactive slide
- More information is also found on the homepage (company info, careers, community, & connect)
- More important things are bigger & easier to see (menu items, promos, location search account log in)
- Images of every menu item shown with price, details, and number of items in cart. Super great!
Dominoes
- Color layout of the website is great & is consistent (order options in red, tabs in blue)
- Minimal images, but are strong when promoting there menu items
- Just like little caesers, company info contact etc are found at the bottom of the page
- Everything is easy to find. No struggles in navigating the website
- Tracker option on website is great when you are trying to see the progress of your pizza/delivery
