I love elephants. They are large gentle giants. They are very smart and have a family structure. They take care of each other and mourn their dead.
Elephants are not ours to be slaughtered for ivory, beaten for shows, rode by tourists, be performers and beggars. Elephants are near extinction. My heart hurts for how they have been treated so cruelly. One of my bucket list items is to volunteer at the Wildlife SOS India Sanctuary. Rescuers do God's work there and volunteers have contact with these beautiful animals.
