colours dont match the rest of the site.
I like that when you scroll down there is a return to the top button on the side.
Sadly the site has no social media presence :(
- Just to be professional, I would get rid of the free contact email and buy the email domain.

Visual design
I like this website already!
- The overal visual has a nice feel and really captures your attention. The layout is very well presented, with a good
use of typography and negative space.
- The site works well accross all devices and is fully responsive.
Content
- The site is split up into the appropriate pages, except for the catering page which seems a bit clustered with content.
The catering page also lacks syb headings which, can cause confusion if you have been scrolling for a long time on a smaller device.
- The font size needs to be a little larger. I like the way they have used negative space, however, there is a too much of it with a small font.
- The logo posted on the home page needs to make more of an appearance accross the site.
Navigation
- The menu is clear and concise, although, i think the font size could be a 1-3 sizes bigger.
- As some of the pages are quite long, i think it would be useful for the nav menu to scoll with the page.
- The main logo should appear on the nav menu instaead of saying 'home'.
contact
- The contact form is laid out well.
- There is also no social media presence.

Visual Design
I like what they have done with the page but i dont think it was a good idea
- The main idea of the home page to view several different angles of the surroundings through 360 degree images.
I think It is really cool, I just think it is really out of place.
- The booking system used is layout out really nicely, except for the font in the paragraph at the top,
That being said the type faces dont match, nor do they match font used for the headers title.
Navigation
- The navigation menu is a nice crips, clean and modern layout with a cool hover over feature.
- However, I would immediatly change the hamburger menu location on mobile view to the top of the screen,
as it looks out of place at the bottom. Also reduce the size of the menu button.
- Inside the menu is a site menu which, looks good, i like the drop down feauture. However, it has
a scrolling issue that needs to be fixed ASAP.
Contact
- This is the first competitor I have chosen that has a social media presence. With links to facebook,
twitter and instagram.
- The way to make reservations is really well presented, giving you the option to select a date and time on the
drop down calender.
- I cant tell if there is a contact page as I cannot access the base of the menu.
- There are several places on the site to find the location.
- Right at the top is a number showing what number to reach them on.
- If it was me, would have a contact page, with all ways to contact in one location.
My site
Goals and Target Audience
The Waterfront Cafe
Web site link
This cafe is in a prime location, right on the beach in Venice, CA
- The feel i get from the main menu, is it is more of a sports bar/cafe.
- There is a large promotion of Happy hour.
- The food is American/bar food, not the typical restaurant spread.
- It is open late (11pm)
- My target audiance would be people over 21 interested in sports.
- Layout
- The type needs to change
- The colour sytems need to change.
- I will keep the navigation system except I'll just make it clear and more modern.
- The gallery will be replaced into an image slider rather than just static images.
- The title will have a logo created for it and that will be presented throughout the site.
- The contact page needs to start from scratch
