Refined Illustration Comps 👁️ 👃 👄

Design Brief

Select three (3) of the rough digital vector illustration compositions that you created for Phase 2, and add additional definition, such as shadows, highlights, contours, strokes, and gradients.

Assignment Requirements

• Adobe Illustrator file (AI)
• Letter size, portrait orientation (8.5 inches wide × 11 inches tall)
• Three (3) artboards
• RGB color
• Portrait scan images must be scaled, rotated, and clipping masked to perfectly fit each artboard
  • Portrait subject size and positioning must demonstrate decisive and intentional control of the field of the composition (Elements of Design)
• Each refined portrait illustration must be comprised of at least forty-eight (48) vector objects, minimum
• Adobe Illustrator Layers must be clearly labeled and organized to structure your illustration, for example:
  1. Hair
  2. Face
     1. Eyes
     2. Nose
     3. Ears
     4. Teeth
     5. Mouth
  3. Neck
  4. Arms
  5. Body
  6. Background
  7. Guides
     1. Coordinate guide system required (0.5 inch increments recommended)
