Rough Illustration Comps ✏️ 🫥 👤

Design Brief

Create five (5) rough digital vector illustration compositions based on the reference imagery scans that you collected during Phase 1. Use the vector illustration process that we demonstrated in class.

Assignment Requirements 📥 📥 📥

• Adobe Illustrator file (AI)
• Letter size, portrait orientation (8.5 inches wide × 11 inches tall)
• Five (5) artboards
• RGB color
• Portrait scan images must be scaled, rotated, and clipping masked to perfectly fit each artboard
  • Portrait subject size and positioning must demonstrate decisive and intentional control of the field of the composition (Elements of Design)
• Each rough portrait illustration must be comprised of twenty-four (24) vector objects, minimum
• Adobe Illustrator Layers must be clearly labeled and organized to structure your illustration, for example:
  1. Hair
  2. Face
     1. Eyes
     2. Nose
     3. Ears
     4. Teeth
     5. Mouth
  3. Neck
  4. Arms
  5. Body
  6. Background
  7. Guides
     1. Coordinate guide system required (0.5 inch increments recommended)
