Shyama is a American artist, currently based in Los Angeles. After a decade working in graphic and interactive design, she decided to pursue her true love, painting. Specializing in portraits, patterns, and looping animations, she's adapted her process to work equally well digitally as physically. Her work draws influence from her upbringing by scientist parents and from her design background. Her impressive list of collaborators includes Universal Pictures, The New York Times, Wired, Cosmopolitan, The Atlantic, The Undefeated, Fast Company, Washington Post and Penguin Random House to name a few.
