I suppose I fall into the self taught graphic designer category. I learned illustrator as a cad assistant and moved up to children's footwear designer for a private label company in Los Angeles. After I had my son, I did part time QA work as well as freelance design with a focus on graphic art prints. I am currently pursuing the IXD program at SMC while learning design fundamentals to support my current skillset.
