A designer I look up to is Tom Matano. He's currently the director of the Industrial Design program at the Academy of Art University. I had his class last semester and became friends with him. He has a great, optimistic view towards everything, which made the class much more fun. Throughout the semester he would show us sketches and renderings he made for different car companies throughout the years. It was very cool to look into designs that never made it out of the studio and also ones that ended up going into production.
