My first project!
I choose a cafe/bar that is called Joliet.I think the whole website is a little off and confusing, you don't know what type of cafe/bar it is, you don't get a feeling at all when you come to their home page. So that I think that is the first thing I wanted to change. They dont have an about me page and I think that could help too. They have a photo album that gives you a little vibe of the place but not the food.
Visual design: Not good enough, I dont give you any feelings about what type of place this is.
Content: Same here, image that dont fit in.
Call to action: No call to action.
Navigation: They have a menu page, photos page, and contact page.
Functionality: Could work better with the menu.
Community building (social media) : They have an Instagram and a facebook page linked at the bottom of the website.
I think they try to be this cool modern place so I guess is young/middle age that is their target audience.
What questions need to be answered in order to complete this project? What is the vibe they try to share with us?
What tasks do we need to complete in order to successfully design this website? Have better structure, goals.
What issues need to be solved? The home page, the menu, and the photo album.
What is our schedule? This semester.
