Visual Design
- There isn’t any color scheme
- Site is lacking images of their food
- The one photo of food is on a disposable plate, which makes it look unappealing
Content
- There is minimal content throughout the site
- The content, however, is very repetitive throughout the site
- There's more emphasis on the number of their location than the food
- Too many links on homepage
- Store Menus and Locations pages have the same content
- Franchise page has nothing but a headline and a sentence
Navigation
- Store Menus, Locations, and Franchise can be combined
- Needs an "Order Now" button
"Call to action" on homepage
- The key words you input on the search bar only gives you results of blogs
- Must click 2 or 3 times the links to read the blogs
- Links don't open in a new tab
Functionality
- The site is easy to navigate. The only thing confusing is the second navigation bar on the blog page
- The Featured Media Coverage and Media Coverage links on the homepage look outdated and unncessary there
- It is responsive on mobile device
- On mobile device, the second navigation appears on the Contact Us page
Community buildings (social media)
- Active on social media but some of the accounts are spreaded out in different pages
Goals
- Design a minimal, clean, easy to explore website in order to attract more online and in-person customers
Target Audience
- Adults 25+, who enjoy and are interested in the rise of fried chicken around America
Reflections
- How to make an inviting and pleasant site with just a small amount of content?
- Clean up the excess content and include what’s most important
- Add and promote more food
- Make it feel more friendly and alive by adding more photos of people
- Remove unnecessary pages and minimize the blog links on the homepage
- Deadline is December 20, 2021
Comptetitive Analysis
- High quality images throughout the site
- Site is very attractive, clean, and detailed
- Amazing hierarchy throughout the website
- The menu is very informative with images, price, and easy to order
- Site is really easy to navigate, appealing, all buttons and links work, and it is responsive
- Very active on social media
- Visually appealing, color, fonts, photos, etc
- Small navigation bar but just enough to provide good information
- Their merch page has really good merch and interesting logo too
- The company’s logo also seem to match the color theme used throughout the site
- Active on social media platforms
- The site is engaging and interesting to read the About or watch videos of the Staff
- There is good content and photos on the site as well
- Menu has no price unless you go to the Order page
- Some of the fonts used are too bold or all in caps
- The homepage real estate isn’t being used well
- Navigation bar can be reduced a bit
- Homepage has lots of photos that makes it a bit busy
- There is a lot of good content but it takes time to download
- The menu has large fonts and take a lot of space on the page
- Catering buttons on the navigation bar vibrates when you hover over it (looks fun)
- Color theme is consistent
- Simple but very informative
