The website I decided to redesign is The Grain Cafe. I chose to redesign this website because I like the restaurant and think their website has lots of room for improvement. The biggest issue with the site is that it is not prefessional looking. You can tell whoever made it just slapped togther a wordpress site and has not updated it since 2013 (indicated by the post dates). A lot of the images on the site are just small thumbnails. What does work for the site is that it loads quickly and it is easy to find the information you are looking for.

Goals and target audience: The goal of the website is to promote vegan and organic eating and to get more customers through their doors. The target audience is people local to the restaurant that are vegan or just trying to eat healthy. The main question that needs to be answered for the project is whether I can just use images I find online. The actual website doesn't have many and I plan for my design to have big images of delicious looking food. To complete the website redesign I need to create wireframes and write responsive code so that users on mobile and desktop can have a soild experience. I will have the redesigned website done by 06/02/2019.
