Pepe’s Tacos
What works about the current design?
- Nice color palette
- Major information is in big and in a good visual spot
What doesn’t work about the current design?
- Too basic, and not interactive at all
Competitive Analysis
Website 1 - Taco Bell
- Lots of colorful HD images and cool transitions and effects
- Content is mostly about new items and deals
- Navigation is very interactive and playful
- It is functional since the menu is always on the left
- Social Media links are at the very bottom of the page ( Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Youtube)
- They also got key elements such as Search bar, “Find nearest store” option using GPS, Shopping Cart and a Log In
Website 2 - Del Taco
- Design is very appealing, nothing too intense or crowded
- Content focus on new items and their specialties
- Navigation is very easy, it's not likely to get confuse
- Functionality is very good, titles are clear and homepage contains important tools such as a nearest restaurant finder
- Social Media links are also at the bottom of the page on the footer, but also on a section of the main page when you scroll for a while (Facebook, Twitter, Youtube, Instagram, and Pinterest)
- They have an “EClub” section where you can sign in and receive special offers, and they even got a memory game in one of their subpages with which you can earn a coupon
Website 3 - Tito’s Tacos (Smaller Local Business’ Website)
- Visuals and color catches people’s eyes, and the design is very organized and not overcrowded
- Content has just everything a possible customer could need, just not many pictures
- Navigation is pretty simple, just hit menu titles or scroll down, there aren't really any subpages
- Overall the website does its job, so it’s functional. Also, the layout is very straight forward so it’s easy to find important info
- Social Media links are at the bottom just like the other websites (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr)
- They have a section with news reports about them
Goals + Target Audience
What are the client’s business goals for the site?
- To receive more customers in their restaurant since they focus the page’s attention on their location, phone number, and business hours
- Also, to let possible customers know all the food they offer and their prices because have a pdf of their menu
Who’s the Target Audience?
- Local people of LA
- People from all backgrounds, but mainly those who are familiar with traditional mexican food
