  2. why should people eat at this restaurant? what makes Gracie's different? What make's gracies special? How can Gracie's increase it's total product value? What is the Gracie's community like? Is there a community? How do we stenghten the connections or build one if there is none. Does Gracie's do events?
  3. What tasks do we need to complete in order to successfully design this website?
  4. gather new non-depressing stock pictures, add video, add color, declare values/what makes Gracie's special?
  5. What issues need to be solved?
  6. link Gracie's to the location and the community-Across the stree from LACC in East Hollywood. Emphasise the brand story. Communicating the feeling of establishment. Communicating the history. Express the reasons why people would want to spend money there.

Competative Scan

  1. papa john's
  2. corprate but has cupons, both national and location specific deals. Visuals are corporate, clean perfectly functional but lacking soul. Links to the app. Positioning toward fast-food/individual customers/meal deals. Pithy tone. Celebrity endorsments. Limited time offers. EXCELLENT PRICES. customization.
  3. the faculty
  4. liquor licence but no pizza, sandwiches and dinner items, close to the school. More of a bar than a restaurant. NO WEBSITE. more extensive hours. Caters specifically to students and staff hence the name.
  5. SQRL cafe
  6. hottest breakfast spot on the east-side. GIGANTIC line. expensive. site is totally bizzare. Not sure upon opening what this place is. It looks like a fashion or industrial design website. Immediatley asks for e-mail/jam of the month membership sign up which is annoying. No differentiation made between ordering at the restaurant or the grocerey store. Too many order online links. minimal, cold, too sparse, looks unfinished.
