An everyday design object that I think is used on a everyday basis and is underappreciated is doors that tell you exactly how you should open the door whether that be a door with a push bar or an automatic door. There are so many doors where it isn't clear whether we should push or pull and we have to increase our cognitive load to try to figure it out.
